• Proposed a unified OAuth-based identity platform in a 30-page design document, secured director and VP approval across a six month effort, then led delivery from a 3 person team to 15 engineers spanning mobile, front end, and backend.
• Platform serves as the authorization and proxy layer for Android and iOS applications and a merchant management console, plus 5+ additional internal teams. Defined the OpenAPI specifications and Kotlin client libraries every consumer builds against.
• Designed the standard integration contract, deployment templates, and tooling for third-party retail vendors, reducing onboarding from several months to hours. Partnered with solutions architect teams so integrations could scale without direct engineering involvement.
• Own the event-driven translation layer (Lambda, ECS, EventBridge, SQS, S3) normalizing 10+ external vendor systems into Amazon domain contracts across roughly 50 live retail locations, supporting checkout, payment, and fraud validation flows.
• Built an early RAG prototype (React, Lambda, Bedrock) giving support engineers direct access to internal documentation. Organic adoption by ~30 engineers led to a funded product that launched as an internal and external support interface, where I continued as architectural guidance.
• Correction of Error (COE) Bar Raiser: review roughly 25 incident post-mortems per year for teams outside my own, pushing analysis past surface causes and holding a consistent org-wide standard for operational learning.
• Acted as technical lead for the team for a year while the manager led a sister organization in India.
